I last listened to Cee-Lo Green's Soul Machine on 16/08/2004 and I remember thinking - "this shit is weird".
4 years later and I'm sittin right chea in my chair tellin y'all - "this shit is HOT".
To Cee-Lo, I apologize for not recognizing your genius way back then - better late than never. And to make up for it, I'm now
- I guess I'm just not ready...
Now that I've got that out the way, my favourite songs are:
Art Of Noise
My Kind of People
When We Were Friends
The We Are The Ones Song was recorded at Ether and Record Plant in LA,
Cyclops in NYC, The Four Seasons in Austin, the Clipper in Chicago and
on flight 108 to Sydney, Australia on February 20th, 2008

Escha van den Bogerd produces amazing artwork, art that is saturated with soul, at least, that's what i see in her work. She may be too young to be called a master yet - but to be honest, she's as good as it gets in my mind. Rather than ramble on about my take on this artist, i shall let these paintings speak for themselves. Should you want to find out more about escha, then each image has the web address included in the description so you can find her site.
I listen to a lot of artist and it is rare that i come across someone with heart and soul lately. This guy has been right up under our noses and it further seals my notion that the radio is a racket and real artists are not played so you have to get out and listen to some like this guy, Marc Broussard. This Album, SOS Save Our Soul is a gem, check it out and let Harry Hippie play all the way through....
I find this guys voice amazing, but you let me know what you think.
Lately I've been staying up later than I really should, feeling contemplative (dare I say ... emo? Say it ain't so), so here's my current Muxtape playlist:
3:37 AM & Drizzling: Essential Listening for the Occasional Insomniac
- Deadly Avenger - "Everyday Is Valentine"
- Amel Larrieux - "Gills And Tails"
- Amy Winehouse - "Love Is A Losing Game (Instrumental)"
- Bang Bang - "Bye Bye Blues"
- Natalie Gardiner - "Slowly Softly"
- Mozez - "If I Fall"
- 40 Winks - "Melancholia"
- Zimpala - "Adios"
- Stateless - "Down Here"
- Little Dragon - "Stormy Weather"
- Telefon Tel Aviv - "Lotus Above Water"
- Attica Blues - "Tender (The Final Story)"
Play it here and let me know what you think (I recommend opening it up in another tab and listening as you surf). If you've made a Muxtape, please post your link in the comments. I'd love to hear it.
